Cooling System Components And Their Functions

cooling system is very needed in every vehicle, therefore we need to know what are the components contained in the cooling system, here's a little I review about the radiator.

The cooling system serves to cool the engine temperature and also keep the engine temperature always at the working temperature of the machine.
The components:

A. Component Name:

1.Radiator
2. Close the radiator
3. thermostat (lower hose)
4. Cooling fan (fan)
5. Back tank (reserve tank)
6. Water Pump (water pump)
7. radiator hose (reservoir tank)
8. Water bag (Water Jacket).

1. Radiator: Works to accommodate and cool the cooling liquid that has become hot after absorbing heat from the component parts of the machine. Radiators consist of top and bottom tanks connected by pipes that serve to drain while cooling the cooling water.

2. The radiator cap has two functions, the first function is to raise the boiling point of cooling water by holding water expansion when the water becomes hot so that the water pressure becomes higher than the outside air pressure,

while the second function is to maintain the cooling water in the system to remain full even if the machine is cool or hot. To realize the function, then on the radiator cap equipped with relief valve and vacuum valve.

3. Thermostat: Thermostat serves to accelerate the achievement of engine working temperature when the engine is still cold and also serves to keep the machine always at its working temperature (between 80-90 degrees Celsius). Thermostats are usually installed between the radiator and the cooling circuit (cylinder block and heat cylinder). The thermostat works like an automatic valve that works by heat, which in cold time the valve closes and when the heat of the valve opens.

4. Cooling fan: The radiator is cooled by the flow of outside air flowing through its fins. At the time the vehicle stops the air flow will not be cukkup to cool the radiator. To overcome this then behind the radiator mounted cooling fan to help the air flow is always enough to cool the radiator. There are two types of fans that are often used on the vehicle is a fan driven by an electric motor and a manual fan is driven by the engine crankshaft itself through a fan talli / V-belt.

5. Reservoir Tank: Reservoir The tank or reservoir tank is connected to the radiator through the overflow hose. Reservoir Tank serves to keep the volume of cooling water is always stable.

6. Water Pump (Water Pump): Function to circulate cooling water by making pressure difference between suction channel with compressive channel contained in pump. Pumps used are generally centrifugal type. This pump is moved by the axle through the fan belt or v-belt.

7. Hose radiator: serves as a liaison between the radiator and engine block. There are two tubes in the radiator, Upper hose serves to drain the hot water from the engine to the radiator. While the lower hose to distribute water that has been cooled back to the machine.

8. Water jacket: Works as channels where water flows in this engine block is called a water jacket.

if a radiator component is not functioning then the vehicle will experience excessive heat and cause the machine work cycle to die suddenly.
